Are these good safeties?

<p>hey, I'm a senior in ca. is SMU, Arizona, and Santa Clara adequate safeties for me? For SMU, I know that you apply to the school in general, but I would hope to enter Cox after I do their requirement. </p>

<p>ACT: 31 or 2100 sat</p>

<p>AP's: Span- 5 Eng- 4 US History- 3</p>

<p>GPA: 3.38 w</p>

<p>ECs listed on app: football, track, was in 2 clubs, and work</p>

<p>Job/Work Experience: did finances that were really receipts at a family friend's company and also had a job there too</p>

<p>Essays (subject and responses): already started so they should be very good- on two hardships that have come down on me the last 2 years, and my dealing w/ them.</p>

<p>Teacher Recs: better than great</p>

<p>Counselor Rec: great</p>

<p>School Type: Private, does not rank</p>

<p>Ethnicity: Hispanic</p>

<p>Gender:M</p>

<p>Also: Took 3 summer courses at a local comm. college</p>

<p>Youre definately in at UA. Should be in at SMU too. Not sure about Santa Clara. You should look at Indiana, you'd be a lock there as well and the Kelley School of Business is hard to beat.</p>

<p>I'm looking at IU myself. Kelley school of business great. First of I would submit the SAT score. A 31 is great, but it's about a 2040 on the ACT. Those schools are great safeties. If I were you I would apply to Arizona State University instead of University of Arizona. Arizona State is ranked 25th for business.</p>

<p>i saw on a conversion chart that a 31 was a 2100, but maybe it was wrong.</p>
