Are these good safety schools for me?

Hey! So if i'm applying to Dartmouth, Williams, Amherst, Middlebury, Brown, Bowdoin, Bates as reach/low target schools would these be good safety schools
Colgate
Lehigh
Colby
Franklin and Marshall

I'm worried they arent "safe" enough...What do you think would be good safety schools for my targets??

Thanks so much for any help!

I think “safety” is a relative term. What are your stats?

2180 SAT
740 M
700 CR
740 W

33 ACT

3.98 UW GPA
4.05 W (This is as of soph year…it will be higher with junior year grades- got straight As and took 4 weighted classes)

Solid ECs with leadership positions…held 2 part time jobs since 08…a lot of volunteer experience

I guess I’m really wondering how much i can depend on the college board SAT/ACT stats for each school…if i am above the 75 percentile at most of those “safety” schools and i know the other aspects of my app are good, how sure can i be?

You want to apply to a couple of financial safeties as well, unless money is not an issue at all. Out of state public schools often try to lure top kids from other states, so you might look to see if anything is appealing. If you want to go to grad school, saving money on undergrad is nice.

St. Mary’s College of Maryland is an honors college and is beautiful and in a small town. Binghamton (NY) is a little bigger. Geneseo (NY too) is also well thought of.
