Are these good SAT Subject scores?

WOOOO! SAT Subject Scores are finally in!!

Bio: 630 (sad considering I took AP Bio and I actually studied...)
Math 1: 730
Math 2: 770

Are these considered good? I didnt study for any of the math ones.

*My #1 school is Wellesley!

Math2 is definitely respectable and worth sending in. 1 down 1 to go!

Math 2 is the best. But you have to consider that there are a ton of people who do really well on the subject tests. I got 800 in Spanish and I was on the 92 percentile and I got 84 percentile with a 780 in chemistry.

Anything above 750 is fine for top schools.

I still don’t get it; how is It that lots of people take Math I and Math II and do BETTER on Math II?

Because Math1 has easier math questions, most people do better in terms of # correct. However, because so many people get many of the questions right on the Math1, the curve is a lot harsher. Same with the SAT1 Math section. People typically do well so if you just miss a couple questions that could drop you 100 points.

Also, an additional note… the reason why most people do well on SAT Subject tests is because of the type of students that take them. The SAT Subject tests are only required for east coast private, prestigious type schools. Most of the students that apply to those types of schools are students that do well in school. Therefore, the tests are usually taken by excelling students.

Percentile wise a Math 1 score of 730 (91 percentile) is higher than a Math 2 score of 770 (84 percentile). Of course the students taking the Math 2 test are generally much stronger in math.
