Are these good schools for me???

<p>Hi, I have a 3.7UW GPA and 4.25W, about top 10%. I got a 31 on the ACT. ECs are decent, I'm an Eagle Scout, track, Model UN, etc...</p>

NYU (Stern Business)</p>

<p>Match:
Vanderbilt(maybe should this go up?)

Clemson
FAU
ASU</p>

<p>I live in Ohio and as you can see I have no plans to stay. Merit money is why I'm liking a lot of schools in the South.
What do you think of this list? Thanks</p>

<p>I’d cut your safeties in half (at least). Take away the ones you can’t see yourself at; make sure you “love thy safety.”
If merit money is top priority for you, I’d eliminate Northwestern as well; it’s notoriously stingy with financial aid and with merit aid. I believe NYU is similar, but I’m not sure.
Other than that, not knowing your personal criteria, looks fine =)</p>

<p>The schools on your low reach list will be solid reaches for you this year. I saw lots of kids with top 5%, 2150 not get into Stern and NU last year.</p>

<p>Yeah, I’m having a problem cutting back my schools. I knew NYU is very stingy, but I didn’t realize NU was too. But my chances aren’t great at either school, so whatever. </p>

<p>I’ll probably have to apply to one Ohio school, but I think I’ll take ASU and Clemson off, can’t really see myself there.</p>

<p>I would also look at Miami (OH). Good school and they have some merit aid. UD is a solid safety and good choice there.</p>

<p>Yeah Miami(OH) does seem pretty nice, I kind of forgot about them, but I’ll ultimately have to visit the campus, but I’ve heard it’s really nice and pretty in Oxford. </p>
