<p>Plenty of excellent reasons to attend HYP, full pay or not. Med school app boost as the primary reason? Uhhhh…no. Save your money.</p>
<p>Environment plays a large role in choosing a college. </p>
<p>If you are a student who easily gives in to peer pressure and who needs to feed off your classmates drive for success in order to do well, then attend HYP. </p>
<p>If you a student who does not give into peer pressure and who doesn’t care about the academic atmosphere at a school, then go to the cheaper option.</p>
<p>BTW Emory has very few kids from colorado, so if you applied your app would get a boost for geographic diversity.</p>

<p>You have never specified “prestigious” for who? Based on above, None of schools would be prestigious enough for you, however, every single UG in the USA will be prestigious enough for every American Medical Schools’ adcoms. Basically you need to decide what you are looking for, it is your opinion.</p>
