Hi, I'm a current NYU freshman in the process of transferring. I'm looking to attend a BA program (I'm currently in the conservatory at Tisch), but I'm finding that a lot of colleges don't explicitly say whether their program is BA or BFA on their site. That probably means that they're BA, but it's hard to be sure. Does anyone know the degree status of any of the following schools?

Skidmore
Haverford
Bard
Middlebury

Thank you! Best of luck to all the H.S. seniors and transfer students waiting to hear from schools.

Those schools are all BA liberal arts colleges. Good schools! Skidmore is strong in theater. Middlebury has some good theater. I know that both those schools put on student run musicals.

If you had the stats to get into NYU, then my guess is that you should be in at Skidmore or Bard and have a decent chance at Middlebury and Haverford too. With small liberal arts colleges, be sure to express specific interest in each one.

Good luck to you.

PS, I truly don't know what your college criteria and preferences are, but take a look at Tufts, Brandeis, Boston College, Vassar, Sarah Lawrence, Wesleyan, and Conn College or if willing to go further out of that geographic area....Northwestern.

FYI -- i head GREAT things about the last play middlebury did from about 10 people who went to see it.

I go to Skidmore, and should say that the theatre program is a Bachelor of Science degree, not a BA. It makes no difference, however. I dont no why they do that, but they do.

hey i went to skidmore last year, actrss100....do i know you?
and she is right...it is a BS degree.
