<p>-My reaches are Duke, UChicago, and Harvard.
-I think I MIGHT have a chance at Rice, Tufts, and maybe Vanderbilt (but I'm not really sure at all, which is why I'm asking on here xD)
-My safeties are UT Austin, Baylor, and Wake Forest.
I hope I at least make it into my maybes. D: What do you think my chances are?</p>

-CAMP Camp volunteer (it's a camp for children with medical disabilities) since 9th grade summer

-HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)
-HOSA Bowl state finalist (10th), national finalist (11th)

-Latin club (9th-12th); vice president (12th)
-National Junior Classical League competition state finalist (since 9th grade), national finalist (since 10th grade) in Latin Literature
-NJCL essay contest national finalist (10th grade, planning on another this year)

-National Latin Exam gold medalist (9th and 10th grade); perfect paper (11th, planning on another this year)
-Multiple short story and essay awards (some national, but mostly state)
-a couple summer writing workshops</p>

<p>I know my ECs aren't as distinguishing as they should be for Harvard (according to some other posts I've seen around here), but I can dream, right? D; So what do you think? Are my school choices reasonable and realistic? Which schools do I have a true chance at? Should I choose safer safeties?</p>

<p>Filipino -> Asian -> homogenous EC’s (violin, music related) + nothing too compelling -> hurts your chances a lot at Harvard + UChicago + maybe Duke. I think your maybes thought would be dumb not to accept you though.</p>

<p>Holy Cross(very good Latin/Classics major) might be a good safety. HC has nice campus 1 hour from Boston. Holy Cross has January 15th application due date and more school spirit than Tufts.</p>
