Are they going to the waitlist this year?

I've heard that the freshmen class is close to being full. What's the deal?

I don’t know but where’d you hear that the class is nearly full?

It is most likely full. The chances of a waitlist being used, as far as I know, is less than 5%.

And there’s probably less than a 1% chance of getting in off the waitlist if they do decide to use it. Hence, there’s probably a .05% chance of getting into Wash U once being waitlisted.

My admissions officer said they’re still waiting for some enrollments to get in…which seems, sadly, to imply that there are very very few spots waiting to be filled.

Anyone know yields yet?

Parent volunteer here, just received this email dated 5/16/2012 which says:

"Wait List Update

With a freshman class that was very full by the beginning of May, waitlisted students were notified recently that no additional students can be admitted to the fall 2012 freshman class."
