I got in fall semester. I'm pretty sure the housing deadline is already passed. Looking at the USC facebook group, everybody seems to already have their roommates and dorm assignments. For those of us that got in through appeals, does that mean we are pretty much out of luck for getting a good dorm and choosing a roommate?

Hopefully I'll be able Monday and clear things up, but for now, I'm kind of worried and would like to know what's going on because I'm out of the loop. Any help would be appreciated

When I checked there were still students looking for a roommate. There is a process run by the university as well. Some of the various schools such as Viterbi and Marshall have individual Facebook groups. You might try one of those groups and see if someone is still searching.

You are not out of luck. It just may take a bit more time.

Ok thanks, and I remember seeing somewhere that dorms were assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis, so does that mean the best dorms are filled and the only rooms available are in the worse dorms?
