Are UC Riverside and UC Berkley the only UCs to offer Accounting as a major?

Just wondering?

UCSB and UCI also has. UCLA’s business econ is accounting-ish.

i thought ucsd did?

Actual only UCSB has an accounting minor it’s something called Economics and Accounting, while many other UC’s offer it as a minor.

Berkeley has an accounting major?

CSUs offer accounting majors but UCs only have accounting minors or Econ majors with accounting emphasis.

UCR and UCB offer a degree in business with a concentration in accounting. Here’s the link for UCR. <a href=“Graduate Programs | School of Business”>Graduate Programs | School of Business;

thats a concentration not a major.

To Jet,well if if you don’t consider concentration a major than I guess out of all the CSUs and UCs; CSUN is the only one to fit your criteria of accounting major.

UCI offers Business Administration with a Specialization in Accounting. That should pretty much be enough to get you the ability to sit in on a CPA exam. FYI getting CPA certified is your goal, not so much your degree which would simply be a prerequisite to getting CPA certs.

At UCB there’s only a business degree with no indication of specialty or concentration. What most people do is tailor their curriculum to match their career goals. Only Intro to Fin. Accounting and Intro to Managerial Accounting are mandatory for the business degree, so those interested in getting their CPA license go on to take the more advanced accounting classes and then just list those on their resume.

is riverside the only uc where you can major in business admin. and take an emphasis in accounting?

^
There is UCI. UCB has biz admin but you can tailor your curriculum towards accounting.
UCSB has economics and accounting

UCI, UCSD, and UCLA have accounting minors.
