Are you all looking forward to the game? This is a big one! I say we win it 34 (4 TDs and 2 FGs) - 24 (3 TDs and 1 FG). I am the eternal optimist, but I think out DL will look to hit Quinn early and regularly and our offesne will exploit the Irish young Defense.

notre dame is going DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don't know if we have a better passing game this year ... yet. I understand we are not gonna show the Irish anything in the warm up games.

Btw, how did the Irish beat Penn State by such a wide margin? Is this not the same Nittany Lions team from last year?

No, the Nittany Lions were supposed to be weaker this year. That is why their pre-season ranking were out of the top 20. They lost their QB and a few other key players. Still, the way Notre Dame disposed of PSU, which was supposed to have a solid defense, is alarming. But this is good in a way because it is going to give out players the added adrenaline rush to play at 110%.

Morelli's inexperience showed.

Michigan and Notre Dame will be a very exciting game.

I don't think PSU played that horribly. They just made some HUGE mistakes, but otherwise, their offense was clicking. As much as I love Michigan, I still think we will have trouble IN ND next week.

All I can say is that Ohio State is legit. Not enough to judge ND on.

ND worries me quite a bit though.

ND scares me...they have not running game whatsoever. They're pass happy offense and in the first two games of the season the Mich secondary has been terrible, but our rush D has been amazing. Chad Henne needs to start throwing the ball too.

no running offense? *** are you talking about. Darius Walker is an excellent back. PSU's just got the LB's to stop the run, but no experience in teh secondary to stop the pass. the UM secondary has been playing well; Leon Hall is living up to his hype.

If UM wins this game, the pressure must come from the front 4 as much as possible. Georgia Tech showed how to exploit an average offensive line which caused big problems for the Irish. Expect a big day from Woodley.

I just hope that Michigan starts throwing some downfield passes. There have been many years where it was speculated after the first game or two that we were hiding the big guns...and they never came. We need the receivers to make some big downfield catches, as well as improve their blocking. Substitutions towards the end of the game were real sloppy. In CMU's last drive we basically gave them a free down after they got to the 3 yard line b/c of 12 men on the field, and then only had 10 guys on the field for the PAT, despite some guy on the field calling for another person about 5 times.

last year ND was 4-3 at south bend and undefeated on the road

I'd be much more comfortable if we had Bobby Boucher playing in our Defensive midfield! hehe!!!

Our secondary has been playing well? Did you see those bombs we gave up to CMU? Please...I know it's good to be optimistic, but don't get over yourself. Brady Quinn would rip us if we play like that. Walker has played well this year, but far from amazing.

You guys are definitely going to lose. I'm actually putting money on it. Carr has a horrendous record in his road openers (lost 6 in a row), ND's got confidence knowing they can beat you, they're coming off a demolishing of PSU, and they have home field advantage. Michigan also hasn't won in South Bend in 12 years (although it's only been 3 straight losses). BTW - The early line (real early) is ND by 7.

"You guys"? You cut me deep A2Wolves! LOL Seriously, as poor as Carr's record is in road openers, his record against top 5 teams is amazing. Never corner a Wolverine!
