Are we allowed to discuss AMC answers here?

Im never on the high school posts

The AMC does not want us discussing the test until after the official testing date. In fact, www.artofproblemsolving.com has locked its AMC forum. I hope the moderators here will enforce the AMC's request.

Well Tuesday's over so we can all have at it.

so for the Yan stadium question, i believe it was 3/4 and for the 3-4-5 ratio triangle with a radius of 3 was the area 8.64?

^^ I got 3/4 and I hope it was 8.43 -- I guessed that COMPLETELY.

are we allowed to use calculators on the AMC? sorry but ive never participated in it before

the same ones allowed on the SAT

def was 3/4
dont worri bout it

Yep, those were right. The stadium one took me 30 seconds or less. I devised a bar technique.

the one with the tens and ones digits being the hundreds and tens digits in the next item in the series, was it 37?

yeah, it was 37

yeah it was 37, 3/4, and 8.64

some answers I remember: 9/16, choice E for the unit cube problem, 25 for the (6-variable) problem, 4, 60 for the star/clock problem.

what did you guys get for the one with like, 3 distinct digit number with its mean in the 3 digits or something.

was it 96?

it was 112

what did you get 9/16 for? the one with the AD-CB? b/c that's not right, the answer was 5/8

The star one was 30 and the unit cube was choice B

I got 118.5. Kinda disappointed but hopefully I'll do better on AIME.

Who else qualified?

answered exactly enough to qualify lol, 14 right (the first 14 in fact) 11 blanks and a 100.5

I got 18 right, 2 wrong, and 5 unanswered for 115.5.

Aww, stupid mistake on one of them prevented me from breaking 120. I was hoping to use it to get off a waitlist or something.

Wow you guys get your scores so fast! Our school takes a long time to return the scores lol.

im pretty sure they just calculated their scores according to the posted answers

i answered 14 and got 1 wrong...so is there no chance for me? lol

No chance unless they use the 5% rule. That hasn't happened in a while though. Best of luck.

wait the answer WAS 5/8? awesome!

are you sure the answer to the star/clock problem was 30 degrees?
The smartest people in my class all got 60
