like all those UC stuffs, TAG stuffs, personal statement stuffs, Accepted or rejected stuffs, done a lot of research on UC school and GPA of getting accepted, asked people for chance, nervous, and maybe cant sleep? :)
We did think a lot. lol
I know I do, this is what im living for bros :(

You basically summed up the chaos that run through my mind 90% of my day on a daily basis. . . : /

Honestly, I’m over it. Yeah I was a bit paranoid at first (looking through acceptance threads, going through IGETC/pre-req lists constantly, checking deadlines all the time), but the real work is building your qualifications. If you do that, and make sure you’ve got everything you need to apply, the rest is out of your hands.

Be for real, what good is a chance thread gonna do for anyone? The less I have to deal with applying, the better. We just love making it more complicated than it has to be.

More people on here end up worrying so much about the whole process and its intricate details that they really forget what is at hand and thats getting good grades. Just focus on your school and what “you” can do to make yourself better. I mean at the end of the day, nobody is gonna hold you accountable for other mistakes… only your. Its better to be on top of school work and worry less about the process now, than vise versa later (ie getting rescinded).

I obsessed with it for a while and would read CC everyday. I’m a little over it now and heed to what UChopeful12 said, and try to focus iv my grades for this quarter because a large part of our work is already done with our prior classes and resume building and we really don’t have much power over that.

Of course! And that’s why this section of CollegeConfidential will always be popping But it goes to show we really want to achieve our academic goals too… so I’ll be glad to be in this category, as annoying or tedious as it might be, haha

This thread comes up every year lol! You guys are being paranoid, but it’s with good reason.

Oh and I was in that category too (obviously - just look at my post count haha).

Yes, you are. Basically just do what you can and know that at the end of the day it doesn’t matter THAT much.

For the careers I’m interested in, UCI has nearly the same opportunities as UCLA(after making a few trips up there and networking aggressively) and the recruiters remember me as the aggressive guy who got out there.

Just get in where you can, take advantage of every opportunity and WIN.

I’m only paranoid about one thing. If you have a TAG with UCSD and you apply to a non-impacted major for both your primary and optional major can you be rejected?? Has it happened before?? I always think in the back of my head what if they do reject me lol

Amen to that.

I completely understand what you guys are going through, it’s normal. As people mentioned above, just concentrate on getting/keeping your grades up now and come spring. Submit everything on time, make appropriate updates come January, get personal statements read over and over, revise, etc. At some point all you will be able to do is wait for admissions.

And to all you prospecive transfers, it’s funny how time flies. You guys are going to sit back and wonder where it all went come next fall. Seems like just yesterday I was flipping out because of one too many W’s on my transcript. Now I’m sitting here in Shields library flipping out because I’ve got 3 math exams next week and my coffee is starting to smell like gasoline :D

Good luck everyone. Hope you all are where you want to be next year.
