Are we restricted to how many credits we can recieve?

I'm going to be 16 in a few days and I am in 10th grade. I'm pretty sure that we need 24 credits to graduate in the state of Florida.
But let's say I want to take an honors course of 9th grade biology. Since I'm already in 10th grade and have completed regular Biology would that be possible?
Or actually, just extra courses in general. I was just given the opportunity for honors classes and so far I am acing them, but I've only taken two and I really want to be able to say that I tried my best to do the best I could do.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I put this in the UF section because thats where I really want to go and I thought you guys could help me out.

My son had many more credits than were required to graduate. He could have not even attended his senior year (he did anyway) and still had enough to graduate. I don’t think you’ll be able to take Biology Honors now. I believe when you take the course it’s either regular or Honors but it’s basically the same course. You’d be repeating it. If you wanted to continue on the Biology route you could take AP Biology next year. Or Chemistry Honors or Physics Honors. The important thing is to challenge yourself up to your ability level.

Wow, that’s amazing for your son. Do you think if I took all of the courses necessary for high school, and then after I got my credits would be able to go back and take AP courses?

AP courses can fulfill your required credits. For example if you need 3 science credits to graduate and you take AP Biology next year that fulfills one of your credit requirement for graduation. If you decide to take AP Statistics (for example) that will fulfill a math requirement for graduation. Instead of taking ceramics for your elective take an academic class that challenges you. Try to take the highest level of each subject that you feel comfortable you can handle. Make an appointment with your guidance counselor, tell her what college you want to attend and she should be able to help you lay out an appropriate schedule. Good luck :)
