Are YOU a Workaholic?

The fact that I spent 15 minutes of my life taking that test proves that I'm not a workaholic; I think it's a little off.

57... But that's because I never really answered 4 for any of them... Always is a strong word. And so is never... so I didn't really answer 1 either. I got a lot of 2's.

I prefer to do things myself rather than ask for help
4

I get very impatient when I have to wait for other people, or am in slow moving queues
4

I seem to be in a hurry and racing against the clock
3

I get irritated when I am interrupted while I am in the middle of something
2

I stay busy and keep many 'irons in the fire'
2

I find myself doing two or three things at once, such as eating and writing a memo
3

I over commit myself by biting off more than I can chew
4

I feel guilty when I am not working on something
1

It is important that I see the concrete results of what I do
2

I am more interested in the final results of my work than in the process
3

Things just never seem to move fast enough or get done fast enough for me
2

I lose my temper when things don't go my way or work out to suit me
3

I ask the same question, without realizing it after I have already been given the answer
2

I spend a lot of time planning and thinking about future events, forgetting the here and now
4

I find myself continuing to work after my co-workers have finished
1

I get angry when people do not meet my standards of perfection
3

I get upset when I am in situations where I can not be in control
2

1

It is hard for me to relax when I am not working
1

I spend more time working than on socialising, hobbies or leisure activities
1

I dive into projects to get a head start before all the phases have been finalised
2

I get upset with myself for making even the smallest mistake
2

I put more thought, time and energy into my work than relationships with other people
1

I forget, ignore, minimise family celebrations such as birthdays or holidays for example
1

I make important decisions before I have all the facts and have thought them through
1

Total: 55

it doesn't seem all that accurate...

i barely got a 70

Just looking over the test, I would expect that I get a mid to upper 80s

Haha, I used to be a lot more like that than I am now. Now I'm wayyy more laid-back; in freshman year I never watched TV and never spent more than an hour using a computer for nonacademic purposes.

So I got the highest score (88). That's sad

65... eh. almost highly overdoing it... but it's probably just all my senior stress killing me, haha.

71- workaholic i am.

but I'm so lazy. It's complicated. I have a serious procrastination problem with an accompanying guilt complex. As in, I won't DO my homework, but I can't stop worrying about the fact that I'm not doing it. Instead of watching tv or sleeping like normal slackers, I clean obsessively, write, shop, and cook, among other acceptable procrastination alternatives.

It's complicated.

thinking about how much of a workaholic I am while procrastinating… speaks for itself. I got 50.
seashoresideshow, I’m the same way, I hate the mandatory curriculum, but I invest a lot of time and energy into learning things which interest me. Life’s too short to take performance achievements so seriously unless you view it as a hobby/cause… (not talking about poor, stressed out Asians who are grateful that their parents are bashing them into med school). What’s the point if I’m not happy?
