Are you able to access the On-Line Registration site (prospective students)

i bet you we’re all just reading into this too much anyways!

when we get our acceptance packet, we’ll know. lol =)

jhuscla- I think that is part of the Oasis site as well. Click the “Login Help” link at the bottom of the page, and it sends you to “OASIS and Web Registration Login Help”

so did those of you who cannot access it not apply for financial aid / those of you who are able to login did apply for financial aid?

what confuses me is that when i go onto oasis and try to set up my account as if it is the first time, the next window that appears says

We already have a username on file for you.

Please proceed to login. If you don’t rememeber your password, you can reset it.

then, when i try to reset my password (after trying the password i use for the status update page, my old usc password for email and anything else i set up so probably this as well, or MMDDYY) it says…

Your account has not been activated yet, please check your email and click on the link that was sent to you in order to activate your account.

I can access it and I did apply for financial aid. I don’t know what it means though

I can get all the way to where you click Fall 2008 for registering for classes, but then it says you have to make an appointment. Does that mean anything??

Thats where I can get to too mangotangs. I can also click the link that is used to build a schedule too. i am thinkin about calling that number they give you to schedule an appointment and act as if im accepted to see if this thing is really legit.

Yea, ARTofficial and mangotangs, I got the same as you guys. As for acm, your email confirmation is sent to the e-mail account that you applied to USC with.

As for acarey, yea, this thing has something to do with Oasis. If you can access this page that the OP is talking about, you can access oasis under the same ID and Pin (except now it’s pw.. at least it worked for me) Here is the site: https://camel.usc.edu/OASIS/Login.aspx?

People who didn’t apply to financial aid don’t seem to have received this; but then again, some who have applied can’t access this page either. I honestly don’t know if there really is a correlation or not.

Mangotangs and ARTofficial, if you try out the ScheduleBuilder, theres a button for “confirming” on the top near the middle/right. You’ll see that the button is disabled because you haven’t set up the Registration Appointment. If you click on it, it will open up your e-mail service and ask you to send the Registration department an email. In the INSTRUCTIONS thing, it did mention, like previously said, that if you have not been accepted, you can still use the schedulebuilder. It just won’t count as an admit or something. Read on the previous page, someone mentioned it.

The two best ways to test it is either 1. wait for your decision and see if there’s a correlation or 2. set up an appointment with registration department and see if they act like you’re accepted.

best of luck. my Application Status changed right about when I had access to this Oasis page thing. so I’m hoping there is a correlation xD

lol someone should call and try to make an appointment
seriously… ><

edit: i logged into the oasis link above and when i clicked restrictions i got this:

Account Restrictions
Activity Restrictions as of 10:14pm on 02/12/2008

then i saw this under statements of responsibility:
ACTIVITY RESTRICTIONS
An activity restriction is a “hold” a University of Southern California office places on your record. An activity restriction can prevent your registration. Please note that certain restrictions (e.g., Academic Review, Structured Curriculum, etc.) require clearance every time you change your program.

what does this mean?

i can log in… but i haven’t received anything yet.

sucks.

cant log in.

i was able to log in… then i just as quickly logged back out

hahaha, me too tr1p7s. I clicked the log-out button almost immediately
I doubt it really does mean anything, but to be honest, I REALLY REALLY hope it does.

i knowwwwwww x.x i really really want to attend USC. i dont care if i dont get fin aid… i’ll take the 200k debt just to attend but some free money wont hurt ^_^

For those of you who can’t log in, did any of you got an acceptance package?

I have not received an acceptance package and cannot log on – go figure.

I can login, but haven’t been accepted. My status changed to “in review” 2/23, and other than that I haven’t had any contact from USC recently.

I wonder what this means.

Accepted and cannot login.

accepted and CAN log in.. created an e-mail account last night and it works..

kaorj are you sure your using the right one?

its mmddyy I believe. Try it again, if this is teh case that accepted students can all login, and some can’t hopefully it indicates good things.

Also, its the USC Id number not your login id.

haha and kaorj, make sure u made an account first with Oasis.. right here:
https://afa.usc.edu/AFA/pages/register.jsf

For a fact, I know that almost all of my accepted friends can log in.. at least the ones I have asked, and there are quite a few of them.
