Seems to me like they've read through their recs. Are you allowed to do this, and do you just ask your teacher to see it or something?</p>
<p>It depends on the teacher. If they give you an unsealed envelope for review, do it. If they ask for an envelope so that they can seal it and sign over it and then give it to you, don’t.</p>

<p>There is also a spot on the common app to waive your right to see the recs. It is often recommended that you do waive that right; it looks more confident.</p>
<p>waiving your rights only applies to seeing the recommendation after you have been accepted and enrolled at the university, and then asking to see it in from their records. it has nothing to do with seeing it before you submit your application!</p>
<p>My older 2 never saw their recs. However, when my youngest applied, all 3 teachers gave him copies of the letters they wrote. He never asked, they just gave them to him.</p>
