<p>I know Stanford makes it obvious that they do not want you to submit extra material, but I have talked to a few people at Stanford and they all have said that they have submitted extra material.</p>

<p>Yep. I did. There really shouldn't be a problem with it.</p>
<p>I did research and got a few papers, but I never submit them to Stanford. It's okay. It's not like the people in the adcom understand the abstracts so it would be quite futile. Talking about research and the award in your application is more than enough.</p>
<p>Last year, they really discouraged sending extra information.</p>
