I currently go to Fullerton College and Cypress College at the same time and plan on transferring next fall as a computer science major. Both schools are in the same district and are considered sister schools. I took Calculus 1 (Math 150AF) at Fullerton College and Calculus 2 (Math 150BC) at Cypress college. I did this because when I first enrolled at Cypress all the Calculus 1 classes were filled and open spots were available at Fullerton. I was looking at some of the requirement for computer science from UCI, UCSD, UCSB, UCD, and UCLA on ASSIST and it said this,
“You should complete the entire Physics Series at one community college (or
at community colleges within the same district where courses are exact
equivalents)”
about the UCLA requirement. I couldn’t find any information of the other UCs and whether they allow you do complete part of your series at a sister school. I got worried and checked EECS requirement for Berkeley and it said,
"If a series of courses at a community college is required (e.g., English 1A + 1B
- 103 = English R1A and R1B), all the courses in the series must be completed,
and must (unless otherwise indicated) be completed at the same community
college. Partial completion (e.g., 2 of the 3 required courses) will result in
zero credit toward the requirement(s), and the applicant will NOT be considered
for admission."
Has anyone taken their physics/calculus/chem series at a different community college in the same district. If so when you did the UCs give you credit for the classes?
I think yes. Community college students take classes in the same sequence at different campuses of the same CC district all the time because of schedule conflict, class availability. Usually CC students use the same class catalog.

It looks like all of the lower division math and physics courses map one to one from Fullerton or Cypress to Berkeley, so it does not seem like you have anything to worry about needing a sequence of CC courses to cover one or more math or physics courses for Berkeley.
An example where it may be an issue is in biology, where you would need a sequence of four Fullerton courses to cover three Berkeley courses (and the Fullerton courses are different from the Cypress courses). Organic chemistry is another example, where the Cypress courses map one to one, but the Fullerton courses must be both completed.
The CS courses also differ; the one at Fullerton fully covers Berkeley CS 61B, while the one at Cypress gives only partial coverage.
Calculus is one of the more standardized course sequences. Assuming they are both semester, I’m going to say you shouldn’t have a problem.
You need to ask UCI directly about that, since the ASSIST pages list only sequence articulation, not individual course articulation.
(UCI is quarter system, while Fullerton and Cypress are semester system.)
