Just curious who out there along with my s is from oos. we are from a suburb of nyc.

I am from southern Indiana... and dread seeing my parents pay OOS Tuition!

are you going to fsu?

well, i think so at least. not sure, it's a big move.

did you visit tally? we went down last august and really loved the campus and all that goes along with it.

I visited in July and absolutely loved it. The only thing is that I am having a very hard time deciding whether or not to leave home and go that far away. --The weather was awesome, BTW! (80 degrees there today!)

How does your future college student feel about moving that far away from NY?

I am going to NYC on my senior trip in March... that should be interesting! Never been to the northeast.

hornet, my H's family is from Madison. He has family stretching from French Lick to Vevay.

hornetfla

he is very excited and looking forward to it. it will be a new adventure for him. fsu is a great fit for him.

re nyc. i was born and raised in manhattan, so if you have questions about your trip to ny, let me know. your going to have a blast!

sunny, Madison is about 20mi from here. (Question, what does d, s, and H mean on this blog... i'm new here :) ) ...

...I'm guessing you live in FL right? Do you like living there? Every time I go- it's like I find a different person in myself. FLA brings it out in me I guess.

d = daughter
s = son

h - husband

D is daughter, S is son and H is husband. On this board, there are parents who post, and students who post. My husband grew up in Madison, and his folks are still there. They are actually in Hanover now, but that is spitting hairs. We were just there for a wedding in Aug. Not much changes there. Unlike FL where some areas are almost unrecognizable after 20 years. That is probably the biggest difference.

We love it here in Florida. I have been here since I was 10, except for a few years during my schooling. H has been in FL since he graduated from college and relocated here. The humidity can get to you in south FL, but otherwise we love it.

I think I will take the 90/70 (temp/dewpoint) over the current 40 degrees and drizzle outside my window right now.

We are coming down for the holidays to escape the horrible weather in the Ohio Valley. CANNOT WAIT!

have a great trip!
