I am not, but I’d like to know if some of you are, and where.

As a young black male from Georgia studying in a STEM area I can safely say that HBCUs are a huge waste of hard earned money. Especially Clark U and other smaller ones.

The only decent HBCUs are Morehouse and Spelman. Facts are facts. You pay too much money for “culture.” I understand wanting to be around your own kind, but the world is getting smaller. Black people need to stop exclusively hanging out with other black people. In case you haven’t noticed it isn’t really getting the job done.

Culture doesn’t pay the bills or earn you jobs. If you’re black and not applying to HBCUs, congratulations you’re not going to become a statistic.

Some HBCUs, like Florida A&M, Howard, NC A&T, and Prairie View A&M, have more ABET-accredited engineering degree programs than some non-HBCUs like Southern Polytechnic State University or Kennesaw State University.

I get what you mean bobbycats. No offense to anyone who’s going to one.

Well to answer the QUESTION…im applying to Howard and Morgan State…already accepted to a few others via on-site admissions at a college fair…I dont want to go to any of them for “culture”, but for a great education, which I know that I will receive…

Could not have agreed with bobbycat any more. Morgan state was my biggest mistake.
