Are you attracted to your own race?

Putting words in my mouth again eh ? I didnt call you a homophobe I said I was worried about you because you seemed little close minded when you said that black people were culturally disgusting
and if I have to keep my stupid opinions to myself then keep your ignorant ones that make no sense to yourself

I mean now that I think about it you obviously make no sense
there are asians, hispanics and indians some darker than some african americans …so what YOU my good sir have a problem with are Blacks

I’m over this thread …lol

“I didn’t say that. I said that to a lot of people they see the black culture as unattractive. Obviously I mean the black culture that is portrayed to the majority.”

I think the word you’re looking for is hip-hop culture.

As I mixed male I generally find people who speak in ebonics, dont take school seriously, etc… as unattractive and this applies to all races. I live in a predominately black area so there’s a lot of people who pick up this sort of lifestyle who aren’t black so I do kind of find it offensive when people single out blacks as the only suscribers to hip-hop culture.

In regards to this topic I have a preference for caucasion women, but I do find women from other races attractive.

yes, you said it, emory2013.
and yes, just because someone is not “romantically” attracted to someone of a particular race doesn’t mean that that person is racist
racist is hating someone because he’s of a particular race
you can’t help who you’re attracted to. seriously. and people take offense at it if you’re not attracted to their race.
to be honest, alot of guys that i know(white) say that they are just not physically attracted to black women.

yes, you said it, emory2013.
and yes, just because someone is not “romantically” attracted to someone of a particular race doesn’t mean that that person is racist

Um I didnt say he was a racist for not being attracted to black women…

homeschoolGA, why are you threatening emory2013 about going to emory?? that is low, really low. ridiculously low.

if you got into princeton, what if i told you that you shouldn’t go there because there are many white people there who you will feel threatened by??

and i honestly don’t get black people with their “i’m light skinned…dark skinned” blah blah i mean who cares??? that’s racism against yourself. it’s like you’re ashamed to be black.
i remember this incidence in one of my classes where two black people were sitting next to each other and asking people who was lighter skinned!! (they had the same skin tone) but one person concluded that he had the lighter skin tone

seriously. it doesn’t even matter. i mean, it’s like YOU think that there is something wrong with dark skin when you do that.

ya well i’m sure that there are also europeans darker than black people…huh??

@HomeschoolGA202: I’ve seen quite a few of your posts.

Most of them include pretty poor arguments and, well, general aggressiveness.
I apologize, though I feel as though it should be said. I don’t want to have this impression of you.

I didnt threaten him about going to emory …people with his attitude are going to be out of place and I’m being honest he will …if he thinks black people are culturally disgusting he is going to feel out of place in atlanta

and trust me I’m just fine with my skin color I’m not however okay when people attack black people especially the WHOLE race and probably know about 2…and I never said anything about lighter people vs darker people I’ve never had that problem thank you but you wouldnt know that because you’re okay with somebody saying something about other people and not knowing 1 true thing about them …

@ iEatReeds : I’m not aggressive …its just when someone says “all black women listen to lil wayne” or " all black women are angry" or make any kind of generalization it bugs the hell out of me

and I can discern the difference between this messageboard and reality but what about people who can’t? they could see someone on here claiming that " all black women are ugly" and psychologically its been instilled in black women for years that they are not pretty so it wouldnt be that hard to make them feel bad about themselves
have you seen the doll test with preschoolers with the black and white dolls? case and point the black preschooler almost always picks the white doll as better

alright i’m done :)

The doll thing pretty much broke my heart. It was just… GUH. D:

You know, on a semi-related note, there was the longest time, through elementary and middle school, where I was guilty every February. And where I wish I were black, so I could get into a good college. Where I couldn’t even read Anne Frank without, just, feeling uneasy due to my German ancestors.

Poor kids. It’s sad they/we must adapt to certain prejudices/lifestyles thrusted upon us. Them. Why can’t we learn on our own?

i tend to like hispanic, white, and mix woman.

HomeSchool does make a good point, a lot of black woman i see already have low self esteem…

Why does it seem that all race threads end up about blacks?

Thanks for sticking up for me guys. I left the thread for a while because I didn’t want my posts to be misconstrued as racism and end in a ban for me.

And yeah iEatReeds I know how you feel.

At my school we are told “and what have white people invented, you stupid McCains it is black history month (well into march and april), black people are the best” etc etc.

It is true that it happens. I’m not exaggerating AT ALL.

Case in point…they were joking around once and one black girl says “yeah even neil armstrong was black, we were on the moon first”, and this black girl that is really aggressive and racist towards white people says “is he really? i didnt know that!”…and the other black girl just looked at her and said…and I write this in correct ebonics “Naw guh you crazy!”

Plattsburgh I think it is because they are becoming just as much a part of American society as white people. That and most of the posters were talking about how they weren’t attracted to black people, to which HomeSchoolGA took MAJOR offense, thus turning the thread away from its original purpose into “everyone that disagrees with me is a racist”.

@Emory: Sadface, man. Sadface.

We should all love each other. And forget the stupidity of our ancestors. There’s only now, after all.

I can’t give you specific statistics but urge you to look up a study on this because I assure that it is the exact opposite. You would be hard pressed to find as many Black/Hispanic anorexics and bulimics as you would with Caucasians. All f my friends who have struggled with this disease have been White. Some simply did not grow up in an environment that taught them to be ok with their minor imperfections.

Actually, [Bulimia not just a rich, white disease :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Lifestyles](http://www.suntimes.com/lifestyles/1486993,CST-NWS-bulimic20.article)

And I’m part Hispanic and am diagnosed EDNOS.

I would argue that more whites receive diagnoses than minorities, as

  1. the myth that it’s a “white girl disease,” so they don’t see anyone about it
    and
  2. most people can’t afford to see anyone to even receive a diagnosis
and if they aren’t diagnosed, it makes it difficult to huddle them up into a statistic of who has what.

That is a shocker actually

no, white people are ugly
