EDIT: "I refuse to call republicans conservative or democrats liberals
because liberals and conservatives are not the same thing"

Too true.

Indeed, while someone might classify themselves as moderate/libertarian/split(econ v. social), when it all comes down to it you're forced to vote for one of two parties to sensibly have any impact on the country. Funny, I just did the political compass today, and I'm exactly where I thought- equally/moderately conservative/libertarian (+2, -2)-for those who know the compass. Finally, I'm glad to see primitive again, not only because of his illegible posts, but also because of his illogical hatred of all things right of and including the center- brings a chuckle to my heart.

Libertarian Socialist, Ha ha ha. What an oxymoron. Read Von MIses Human Action and you will get a sense of what I mean.

Yes, Chomsky is an extremist most definately - mainly on issues pertaining to the US and issues pertaining to Israel and Jews. (He denies the holocaust and gas chambers, and also ran a campaign petition for universities and colleges to divest Israel, singling them out of all other countries with human rights violations).

But back on topic, I am Conservative all the way.
