Anyone have any insight into how it was in previous years?

My predictions:
Math: -0 = 800 -1 = 780 (this one’s math seemed easier)
CR: -0 = 800 -1 = 800 -2 = 800 -3= 780 (seemed harder than normal)
Writing: -0 = 800 -1 = 790 (seemed medium)

Previous curves:

I hope it isnt that bad.

LENIENT!

LENIENT!

LENIENT!

It better be.

-1 M better be 790…lol i’m not gonna pray for 800

i think 3 incorrect (so 4 points off the maximum with error penalty) will still be a 790. i used that erik’s thing above and it has been 790 for -3 once, and this CR was pretty much brutal.

and i HOPE math -1 is 800, though i doubt it. writing is probably -1 or -0 for 800.

idk, a lot of people said math was easy but at the same there were a lot of tricks so it’s POSSIBLE that the curve could be fine for -1

Math will be harsh. Critical reading was not that hard, I dare say medium. Writing definitely -0/-1 800.

harsh as in 760 for -1?

math is almost never -1 for 760. i’d say -1 is definitely AT LEAST 780.

I thought the CR was harder than the practice test CR’s that I did. Might just be wishful thinking :(…but here’s to a soft curve.

please, for the love of God, tell me -3 in math can still be over 700 on this one (-3 mult choice).

yes, it’s definitely over 700.

Lets say I miss 2 mc and get a 12 essay.
Can I get an 800?

no

to scale your scores yourself

I’m confused. The scale doesn’t factor in the essay portion. Or does it?

The math was tricky and not as easy as the March SAT I took last year. I got one wrong because I was careless ughhh. But I hope it will be -1 is 800.

The critical reading was brutal. There was so much art history crap, and literary criticism crap. They better give a nice curve.

Writing I am not too sure about. But I think it will be harsh.

@10ninja
yeah it’s possible for an 800. i missed 2 mc and got a 10 on the essay in the june SAT and still got an 800. and i thought this one was harder, somewhat.

writing curve is always harsh. it’s most people’s lowest score for some reason.

^I got 12 and -4 on may sat and was at 720…so it could be pretty harsh. This time it looks like -1 or -2 and 12 essay…hoping for 800 but we’ll see.

Math: it was easy, but indeed there were tricks that threw many people off of their guards.
Take me for an instance. I got 50/50 and 800 on math level 2. Misread a Q here and I have -1 on freaking SAT I math. So… I personally wish -1 would be 800 but realistically, I’d say 780 or 790 for -1.

CR: people bombed vocabs but passages were easy. So maybe -2/(-3) = 800?

Writing: a bit complicated here, Depending on what subscores you have for essay/MC, scores will vary. Holistically, think “average” for the curve here.
