Are you going ?

I'm just curious to see if there are any on this board actually going to Fairfield University..? I am, and it'd be great to get in touch with someone else starting this fall, or someone who goes there already..

Post your bio's in this thread, if you like..
Hoping to hear from at least someone :)

Hi! My name is Michelle and I will be a freshman next year at Fairfield University. It's nice to see that I am not alone in searching for others who are going to be attending Fairfield next year. It should be a great experience!

Great! Someone finally replied! I'm Lars, from Norway and i'll be entering as a Freshman as well. What is your intented major, and where are you from ? I'm looking forward to it.. Nobody I know from this northern part of Europe is going to college for all four years; they're all going as exchange students for a year or two..

Wow that's so awesome that you are from Norway. I haven't me too many people who live outside the U.S. I live on Long Island, NY, in a fairly small town, where people are practically either Irish or Italian or both. So I am really looking forward to meeting new people, who are not all exactly the same. Currently I am thinking of majoring in accounting, although the school thinks I will be majoring in international relations, since that is what I put on the application. I may still minor in that subject, and then go into international business or something like that. Do you know what you are majoring in? Oh yeah... Are you going to one of the June orientation days. I know it would be a big trip for you, but in case you are going- I'm going the 28th and 29th. Maybe I'll see you there?

Hi. I know a girl living on the north fork of Long Island, actually. Went there last December, and loved it. -Very nice place. I am majoring in Finance, or plan to, but put Accounting in my application. I think I might minor in International Business, if that's possible, so our interest aren't that different :) I'm a bit worried, though, because I haven't had math in two years... And also, I mailed the math placement and major-form on Thursday 2nd June, when it was supposed to be there by June 3rd.. I'm hoping they can change my major anyway without any trouble. What math 'track' will you take ? I haven't had calculus or anything,so i thought it would be rather stupid if i chose courses like 'applied calculus' and such..

Unfortunately, I will not be attending either of the June Orientations, as I graduate from upper secondary school on the first, and leaving for Crete to party for two weeks on the 28th :)

I've tried adding you to my iChat list, but it doesn't seem to work. Let me know if you want my screen name so we could chat there instead.

It's so funny that you are going to be majoring in something in business. Almost everyone I've met who is going to Fairfield has been planning on majoring in the business-related area. Don't worry about not sending the form in earlier. I don't think I sent mine till the 3rd. I'm sure they'll be able to make any changes you want. That stinks about not taking math though- but I would assume that you like it, if you plan to major in finance, and I'm sure you'll be able to catch up quickly. I will probably be taking Differential Calculus, but only because I took advanced placement clac. this year.

Congrats. Didn't it seem like you would never graduate? That is how I have been feeling lately. Have fun in Crete.

Unfortunately I don't know what iChat really is. I just recently got optonline so until I can download AIM I don't really have a screen name either. But I will hopefully be getting AIM soon, possibly by tomorrow, and if so my screen name will be MCPSANDY. You could also email me if you want at MCPSANDY@optonline.net.

Oh and have you ever heard of a web site called The Facebook? It's a place where you can meet other students who are going to the same college as you. All you need is your school email address. I'm on there too, so a bunch of my contact information is there as well.

I'll contact via Facebook. Hadn't heard of it, but it seems easier than this. See you on the other side.
