Hello everyone,
Not sure if this is the right place to ask but it seems like the most appropriate place to post this:
I’m planning on doing TAG with UC Irvine for Computer Science. I have a 3.4 GPA. According to website I will find out if my TAG is approved in November. My question is, am I guaranteed to get my TAG agreement approved as long as my GPA is above the threshold? Note: I’m not asking about getting into the school, I’m asking about getting my TAG agreement approved in the first place. Thank you!

Along with the GPA requirement, you also need to finish the following to have your TAG agreement to UCI approved:
- Have 30 semester units / 45 quarter units completed prior to submitting the TAG
- Complete your 1st UC-English requirement by the summer prior to applying for the TAG
- Complete your UC-Math requirement by the summer prior to applying for the TAG
- Submit the application by the September 30th deadline
For CS, I also think you have to have at least one CS approved calculus course and one computer science course completed or in progress or else they will deny you for not being able to finish the major prerequisites otherwise.

- Note that these are for this academic year, and might change (unlikely) for next year.
Thanks for the response! I’ve already
- Completed at least 30 semester units
- Completed both UC-English requirements
- Completed my math requirement
- Fnished Calculus 1 and 2 (one year of calculus)
- Finished CS1 and CS2 (one year of computer science)
So I have everything done, does this mean that I am guaranteed to have my TAG agreement approved, or is it still not a guarantee? Sorry if this is pedantic, I’m just trying to make sure I can get my TAG agreement approved because if so, I won’t have to take Physics for Fall 2016-Spring 2017 since UC Irvine doesn’t require it (most other schools do require it). Not taking physics will pretty much guarantee my GPA staying at/above 3.4 and thus guarantee my admission into UCI.
An additional consideration that is often overlooked is that the 30 semester / 45 quarter units must be done at a CCC and that AP credits cannot be used toward that minimum requirement.
