I'm posting this to hopefully get some company haha...

I procrastinated even though I told myself I wouldn't. Now it's Dec. 9 and deadlines are looming in the horizon. I'm VERY far behind on my apps so I'm rushing to get them done now.

Thank god I’m not the only one! I am a chronic procrastinator and ALWAYS work on things at the last minute. I can only really focus under pressure. As of today, I have only filled in the basic information on the Common App and haven’t written a word of any RD essay, except Florida State, which is only because I procrastinated so much I missed the EA deadline altogether! When I applied to Georgetown EA, I wrote all my essays on the day of the extended deadline. I’m going to try to do better this time, but I’m shameful about doing things at the last minute.

I have my recommendations, and have started on my supplement essays. Other than that, I just have to fill in the Academics page and the general essay.

I’m only applying to two places, so I think I’ll be fine.

I’ve filled out the general Common App info and basic info on my supplements, and have 30 words for my EC essay. That’s all. I’ll be asking for my recommendations and requesting transcripts this week though, hopefully. And thankfully winter break is near.

No because I only sent two apps. The first before Oct 15 because it was free before then. The next I sent Nov 4 and got a response Nov 6 (yay for Immediate Decision tours).

Just a little bit. I meant to finish all my apps during Thanksgiving break, but I still have one app left to do. Not too bad, except that most of my weekends now are full of after-school activities and homework.

I have two college apps left for RD (one is on the Common App, one is separate). I just need to write my essays for both. I already requested transcripts/recommendation letters last week, so I should be good, though.

I kinda wish I had finished one of them during Thanksgiving break…oh well!

Eh, kind of on pace-ish. I have three apps to finish by January 1st (January 2nd for Cornell, but basically the same deadline), but I’ve completed 6 up until this point. I’m pretty much done one of those too, I just have to fine-tune the essay, and I’m set. I’m also banking on Christmas break to write essays for at least one of them, too. Too much schoolwork right now to focus on college stuff.

Just a bit of advice…we should all get int he habit of asking for recommendations far earlier. When we’re gathering them from undergrad professors for Grad school, we should give them at least 5-6 weeks to finish them. :P

Let’s see…
I’ve submitted 3 EA apps, but they were safety schools.
I have two apps that don’t require supplements, but I haven’t submitted them yet.
I’m applying to 12 schools in total, so I have 7 left. Whoop.
I’m 75% done with Stanford and Rice, then I need to do Pitzer and Brown. The rest are Jan 15th deadlines.
I’m scared. D:
