<p>Interesting… my son is a great musician, and we are often asked if he gets this from parents. I usually admit no… I played piano and violin, but not with his gifts. I usually credit it to the grandparents.</p>

<p>Then I often can’t resist lamenting that, “darn///…he can memorize 20 minutes of complicated piano music, but he can’t remember to take out the trash on Wednesday nights…” Just thought there might be some tense parents out there today that also need a laugh ;)</p>

<p>This inappropriate conduct is directed to parents of kids that are successful in something…I’m glad we have discussed here in CC. Now some friends with similar experiences and I know we are not alone and the suggestions discussed here and the other thread (read threat tiled “ABI: Athlete “bashing” incident”) have helped us to have an open mind and how to handle it better. Thanks for sharing your experiences and suggestions.</p>
