<p>Other than CC are you active on any other forums?</p>
<p>I just joined another forum and am somewhat active, but its made me appreciate CC so much more. Everyone here seems to be friendly even though it's anonymous and they could easily be rude. What have you're experiences been?</p>
<p>I’ve been active on the Bethesda Softworks forum, CityData.org, and the Forensics Online (debate) forum. I don’t really visit any of them regularly anymore, however. </p>
<p>The BethSoft forum is interesting, to say the least. It’s great for gaming advice, but there’s so much ■■■■■■■■ and stupidity it’s insane. People will go to “General Discussion” to talk about literally anything, and it’s hard to keep up with anything. </p>
<p>CityData is entertaining, but I’m far younger than the average participant. I’ve mostly been using it to share my in-depth knowledge of my hometown, as well as ask a question or two about potential college towns. </p>
<p>Forensics Online is a mixed experience. A lot of people show up to obsess about rankings or getting into Nationals. I just wanted some fellowship, and there’s plenty of that. But it seems like the most insanely competitive debaters flock to the site, and that kind of attitude can really grate if you’re just in it for fun.</p>
<p>The Student Room - which is basically the UK version of CC, but it covers a much wider range of subjects and is used a lot more for general chat. As said above, it really made me appreciate CC, mostly because some people are so rascist and hateful! </p>
<p>The Great War Forum - Just because I’m a WW1 geek. Everyone is amazingly nice, the only problem is that the average age of the users is probably around 50, as they’re the people who seem to be interested in the Great War.</p>
<p>The Manchester Regiment Forum - Again, using it for WW1 research about family members from Manchester.</p>
<p>Yup ! To be frank i too have got my ID in two or three other forums but to be frank the posts or the threads over there are no more active and interesting… So i guess i would be happy if i stay here and kill my all extra time</p>
<p>Not really, just cc. Right now, other than this site, I am often on other large sites: tumblr, so forth. I used to go on fourms for the games I played like maplestory, and vmk when I was younger. When I stopped playing the games, I also stopped going on the fourms :p.
There is one exception, though I do not post on it often, animesuki. Its just an anime fourm discussing the current shows and manga. (They discuss the finished series too, but I look at the areas focusing on current stuff)</p>
<p>I actually joined SDN forum before CC but honest until you reach actual “pre-med” status or higher its pretty dead. Its great information if your looking for something specific though. Once I found CC I havent went back to SDN forums for a year up until yesterday. Even now…its slowly growing but no where near this forum.</p>
