Are you pleased with your essay?

Re-reading my essays, I don't really like them. I grew a lot as a writer this year and would have handled them differently had I had the opportunity again. They're too descriptive! :( Oh well, what's done is done.

Yeah, I know how you feel becase I've gradually discovered that essays say a lot about me but in a very generalized way....semi-creative, but not that great. Oh yeah, I had three spelling mistakes :(

I am still positively in love with my essays. And I love the fact that the one I wrote for National Merit is super versatile - I've already used it for 4 different scholarships. Muahahahha

i like my essays but personally i liked ilcapos a lot more hahaha. compared to his mine suck :(

its just nerves.....becuz most people reread their essays and claim that they suck.

I guess. I liked them when I wrote them, but haha, I don't know I want to be like EB White or something lol

lol....after i sent my apps....i was still having people read my essays..lol.

This is why I don't read them after I sent my apps.

wrote my essays last minute, don't feel like lowering my self-esteem by reading them =)

I spent ages on them...my option was kinda unprof, but conveyed the message...the other 3 were pretty food.

hahah i just remembered that i e-mailed a fixed copy of one of my essays to princeton because it had a huge typo in it. good times.

anyways, i scanned through the essay folder on my computer and i have 14 of them. thus, no need to write any more for scholarships. thank god.

I never like my essays on hindsight :(

Haha I agree with zante. There's not a single thing you could do about something which is already handed in. better to pass the days in ignorant bliss. ;)

personally i think my essays were well-done, but i stashed them away in the darkest prime of the bottomles pit in my room.

i hear a lot of people saying they spent months on their essays.....i just kinda sat down one day as the sun was setting and wrote about what i liked to do.....i think if i dwelled on the idea then it'd eventually become annoying.

I edited the main one once or twice, but the other ones for princeton I just did two a night and finished them in a week. The optional I reused an essay I wrote last year lol.

I completely agree with you guys on hating the essays that I wrote, what can I say, hindsight is 20/20.

I think my essays are ok and while I could have reworded them a bit I believe they represent me as a person very well
