are you supposed to have 60 units completed by the end of the spring semester (right before you transfer)
or by the time you apply to colleges?
i'm a bit confused...

i have 52 units so far (including winter credits)
and i'll have over 60 by the end of this semester.
will i be fine as long as i complete this semester without withdrawing?

unless you are transferring as a junior, there is now way to have 60 credits. I will only have 34 credits by the end of the term. I think that if you are transferring as a junior, you must take at least 60 credits at your new college

Depends on the school i think. But for most UC's (i don't know if you're transferring to a UC)... you are correct. 60 units by the end of the spring semester prior to transfer. Which does not include summer, just to clarify.

i wonder what happens you when apply and tell then what your going to be taking in the spring to get to 60 units but you end up dropping a course that leaves u short

unless you are applying as a sophomore, the conditions of applying, and accepting indicates that you have to have 60 by the end of spring 2010. why accepting conditions? it is becuase some students drop classes and do not realize they are dropping their 60 unit requirement.

If you are a junior transfer you must have 60 units after you completed your final spring semester at your CC before you transfer. So say you applied in Fall 2010 and you got accepted to go to UCB in Fall 2011 that means you have to have 60 units completed at the end of your spring 2011 semester/quarter.

Tragedy- I would contact them asap hoping they’ll be lenient on you because I hear UCLA is strict on finishing it by spring if that’s the case you will get rescind
