Are you willing to stay another year at CC to get into your first choice school?

My dream is to go to UCLA. I actually don’t know why, but I suppose its just the goal i set for myself. I’d be the first one in my family to go to college period and I’ve had a kind of rough life when it came to health (not mine) money and school. I’m 24 and I just now put in for transfer (well, in November). If i have to wait another year at CC then so be it.

One day when I am 95 years old, lying on my death bed and thinking back on my life, I have a very distinct feeling that the last thing I am going to care about was the one extra year I spent at a CC.

However, I may care about conceding to the crappier school I did not want to go to all, failing at yet another goal.

This is only my second semester at ccc, so I’ll be (hopefully) getting my acceptances/rejections a year from now. But no, there’s no way that I would stay at cc for longer than I need to.

Just wondering, what’s everyone update? Did you guys got in the school you really want and does extra year worth it? I’m still debating should I go to Cal State Long Beach or stay another year in CC which would be my fourth year to get that dream school like UCLA and UCSD. WE only live once and I don’t really mind staying another year. But like someone say before, an extra year here push everything back. What you think?

I did it this year. I got rejected from ucla and go accepted to ohio state. Sacrificed a year of my life to get in to my dream school and it came true. PROOF

I stayed another year at my CC and got into my first choice of school. UCLA!!
