Area D, hours from Fine Arts - instrumental music?

If you can play a number of instruments well but are not a music major, can you take classes in instruments you like or participate in ensembles that are open to non-majors to fulfill the Fine Arts required courses? How does this work? Thanks.

I don’t know about the other colleges, but for the College of Liberal Arts, the ENS ensemble classes can be to meet the Area D Fine Arts requirements.

If I’m not mistaken, you can audition to take a lesson from a grad student if you are a non-major. I have a trumpet player friend who takes lessons on campus but is not a student at the college of fine arts.

Which instrument(s) were you planning on taking classes in?
