Attention piano, cello, violin, clarinet and flute players. If you are not already heading to a festival this summer, ARIA offers a wonderful opportunity to study with a different artist on your instrument each week. Check out the faculty. This is a great way to start making connections at the top music schools and conservatories with both instructors and students. The festival lasts for 4 weeks so there is still time to work or attend other festivals.

All participants receive 8 lessons, most of which will be private and a few in master class format. In addition, participants who elect to take part in chamber music will receive 8 coachings for each group in which they participate during the four week session. Each participant will have performance opportunities on the weekend recitals plus masterclasses. Faculty also give recitals during the week. Students have come from Oberlin, Rice, Northwestern, Peabody, Julliard, Eastman, Indiana, Lawrence just to name a few. Advanced high school students from around the country participate as well.

All students last summer were housed in single rooms with two rooms sharing a bath. The dorm is air conditioned which is important in Muncie, IN.

The camp director, Mihai Tetel gave me permission to include the following email. Please spread the word if you know of students who would be interested.
