My DS just got his OOS admission. Thoughts on the school. We visited during the summer so didn’t get a great feel for the school. He is very excited!!

Has everyone just completely given up on ASU from OOS since the scholarship changes last year? I’m surprised that there are no comments at all in this thread.
We are from CA and S23 was admitted with the $15,500 Presidential scholarship and liked it when we visited. But we found many more OOS admitted students at Utah and U of A, presumably those are cheaper options for most strong students (though ASU is better than U of A for us since it considers SAT scores, not just GPA). I’m also concerned about the possibility of significant tuition increases, with no compensating merit adjustments, given the proposed 5% ($1500) increase for 2023-24. Anyone else considering ASU from OOS?
