Arizona State, University of Arizona, University of Oregon, SDSU, or SBCC?

These are the colleges I have narrowed it down to. And I’m having a hard decision. I will be a freshman at one of these next year. I have a 3.8 gpa with a 27 on ACT. I like to be social but at the same time get my work done. My designed major would be something with math, either engineering, actuarial science, or a double major in economics and mathematics, not fully sure yet. I’m looking for a nice area with live vibes. The only reason I am considering sbcc is because I have always wanted to go to UCSB and I could transfer from sbcc to ucsb but I won’t get the college experience. So if anyone could tell me the pros AND cons of each school that would be amazing.
I have 2 weeks to decide!!!

Also, cost of living is a factor too sadly.
(Estimated)
Oregon- $47,000
U of A- $37,000
ASU- $28,000
SDSU- $28,000
SBCC- $19,000

Are you out-of-state for all of them?

How much debt would you have to take on at each one?

Do you have any less expensive options, like in-state public schools?

My mom will most likely pay $20,000-$25,000 a year so I’ll be stuck with whatever after that. So I’m doing 1 of those 5 schools. Just seeing the benefits of each.

I am guessing based on the costs you show that you are not in CA. If that is true then if you went with SBCC and then transferred to UCSB, your annual cost would jump to $55,000/year for the last 2 years. Oregon and UofA are too expensive. Assuming your Mom pays $20,000 a year you would have to come up with another $108,000 for Oregon and $68,000 for UofA. You need a co-signed for anything over $27,000- do you have one? That is a lot of debt! Unless you have cheaper options SDSU or ASU are the best options…
