Arizona State University??

Let me just start by saying I wasn't exactly sure on where to put this in terms of which category but I decided on financial aid since it's mostly related to that! And this is kind of long so sorry about that :)

Alright so I'm a student from Montana and I'm considering applying to ASU. I'm interested in a Political Science major (though not entirely sure) and it's sponsored by the WUE program. Now one question is, could I double major through WUE, or only with another WUE-approved major? Or can I minor in something..? Also, on estimate how much will tuition be for me with WUE?

Another question (sorry I'm full of them :) ) what kind of scholarships do they offer for out-of-state residents (not necessarily for them, but just, they don't limit to in-state)? I'm having trouble sifting through all of the ones listed on their site (plus lots of them are catered especially to athletes and different backgrounds...which I am clearly not haha). Any merit-based ones though are good because I have a 3.7 gpa, with basically honors/ap classes in all of my main subjects (including a college math class that I'm getting credits for). I also got a 30 on my ACT. So I think I'd have a good chance at some merit based scholarships if you know of any?

Also if I did political science I would have to be at the West campus. Do you know anything about it, is it a nice place? Fun to be? Friendly enough people and teachers? etc, etc.

Again, sorry that there are so many colleges but you know you want to be thorough when you're picking a college. So thanks for taking the time to read/answer :)

OH-and if I'm going through WUE could I still take a few classes outside of requirements for political science just for some extra learning (example: I would LOVE to take a language class)

These are all PERFECT questions for an admissions officer. Look on the website and here’s a shortcut to YOUR admissions person. Send them an e-mail and ask your questions.
You need to contact ASU because many WUE schools will not let you get the WUE rate and scholarships. Often you can only get one type of discount.

What are your stats? GPA and test scores (include your M+CR from your best sitting).

Hello:

I work at ASU and was able to confirm through a colleague in the Student Financial Assistance Office that if you participate in the WUE program, you would not be eligible for out-of-state scholarships since the program offers a break on tuition.
The scholarships available for out-of-state students are the President’s Scholarship, the Provost’s Scholarship, the Dean’s Scholarship and the University Grant.

That’s what I thought. Many WUE schools have that rule.
