Armed Forces Bank

well today was the day i got my offer of appointment! So, therefore, i am excited. I was completing the paper work tonight and I came across the…bank stuff. I already know i want to choose the Armed Forces Bank, but as I was reading they also offer a credit card along with your debit/check card if i read it correctly. If that is the case, do you current cadets recommend it?

Haha oh yes the wonderful bank dilemna...

Heres a thread i started awhile back when doin my paperwork, you will see there is also a thread within this one on the 2nd post... http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/air-force-academy-colorado-springs/459862-afb-usaa.html?highlight=usafa

Dad thought the credit card is a def plus for emergencies and the way its set up with rates and what not made it a go for me, plus it will help establish some credit pretty easily... ;)

I'd say go for it; I got one and would recommend it. Just make sure you don't start spending money you don't have.

i would recommend the credit card, as well.

but remember do not buy something you cannot pay for...
but at AFA there are only so many things you can actually have.

here's another CC discussion about money/banks:
