Army/Navy Tickets

Does anyone know how parents can get tickets to the 2008 Army/Navy game other than on StubHub?

Called the USNA ticket office yesterday. They will send out a reminder/instructional email to the mids on April 8. On April 21 the mids can begin ordering the tickets online. I believe there is a limit of 4 tickets per mid but I did not confirm that with the ticket office.

so how do they deal with incoming plebes? will the reminder/instructions that they send to the mids be in the permit to report package?

You will receive a separate letter with the information about Army/Navy tickets (I believe it was like the first/second week of June). Send it back immediately as they sell out quickly.

Yes, plebe parents get a one-time only offer in June. Return it BUT you can be assured that you WILL GET TIX, and Chet the AD will no doubt speak to you on I Day about this also. Again, if you follow up ... you WILL get tix. Yes, it's 4/Mid and /plebe

What time do plebes have to spend with family at the Army/Navy game? Before, during, and/or after the game?

Before game - none
During game - halftime
After game - depends but typically none (class of 2009 got an overnight in Phili - Class of 2010 got an overnight after returning to Annapolis from Phili and Class of 2011 game was in Baltimore - an 2011 parent needs to comment as not sure if they got time off in the evening.

This year back in Phili - I would venture to guess that they will not get an over night there or in Annapolis given the lack of overnights this past football season.

Don't let not seeing your Plebe sway your decision to not get tickets - it really is an amazing event and the only year you are more or less offered (guaranteed possibly) tickets is plebe year. The other three years is much more difficult for parents to get tickets.

Our 2011 plebe was able to spend the evening with us, but needed to be back to Mother B by curfew (midnight if I remember correctly).

doesn't matter if you see them or not.... just knowing they are out there on the field for the march-on is worth venturing to Phili!!!

peachobrit is correct. Back to B @ midnite on that Saturday. Wow, what an experience it is. It was plenty chilly, but 'twas not the cold that generated the goosebumps.

And one sidenote ... to really get the goat aheada the boat ... the USMA parents sell a poster after each A/N game of the Cadets and Mids march-ons to the field (separately of course). And this year they began marketing one for USNA parents of our Mids on the field. It's a wonderful keepsake. Make sure you order one or several ... they make great gifts for grampa, sponsor parents, anyone who loves your Mid and America. We even picked out our Mid aka Waldo with a magnifying glass and his direction. Adorns Bancroft Hall Jr., which used to be our basement family room. And everytime I ping pong, I get those goosebumps all over thinking about that great day.
