Army ROTC at TCU

My son has accepted an Army ROTC scholarship at TCU. Does anyone have any insight into the program - not necessarily the "usual info" but some inside perspective?

Have you tried the TCU forum? Might have better luck.

What do you mean by inside perspective? Do you mean inside TCU ROTC battalion? Inside ROTC in college? Inside ROTC scholarship programs? My DS is on an ROTC scholarship. Generic information: you need to keep a certain GPA to keep the scholarship. You must pass the PT test before you can be sworn in and start receiving the monthly stipend. If it’s an Army ROTC scholarship he will receive $300 per semester ($600 per school year) for books and supplies and the stipend is $300 per month for the first year.

If you want specific information to TCU that will have to come from the battalion itself. Your son should plan to meet with the PMS (Professor of Military Science) who runs the battalion and they can give more information on how the specific program is conducted. Plan a school visit and make an appointment to meet with the PMS.

Good luck and congratulations!
