I was just awarded a 4 year scholarship for Army ROTC and have a Dodmerb test coming up soon. I was wondering what my chances are of passing. I have eczema but it’s very clear and definitely unnoticeable. I have been prescribed vyvanse, a medication for adhd, for the past two years but have never taken a single pill (my parents insisted that I should get a prescription) and I have never had any issues pertaining to adhd. I was given growth hormone treatment to boost my height (late bloomer) but I’m completely normal now and haven’t needed it for the past year. I had surgery for an undescended testicle 3 years ago but I’ve never had any problems associated to that. I also broke my wrist (radius) in 2011 and had a cast for 3 months but ran into no problems after that.
What type of things might I be able to get waivers for? What would I be able to leave out? My older brother who is now in the Air Force had his juvenile medical records sealed and passed MEPS or DoDMERB without any complications even though he had severe adhd in the past. I was wondering if I were to do the same thing, would the physicians be able to look through my juvenile medical records even if I was having the exam as an 18 year old?
