arranging prep books to study.

Hi, I am currently taking AP Bio class. I have Cliff Notes, Barron's, and Pearson's AP Bio by Holtzclaw, AP lab Manual, and Princeton Review's. I try to decide which one to study first, but still confusing. I want to use them all, so can you give me any ideas on how to use them and in which order?

I don’t see how or even why you’d use them all. My recommendation is to use whichever one covers the topic you need help with best. For example, one book may be strong in the photosynthesis unit while another may be better in the taxonomy unit. You’ll have to find the strengths and weakenesses of each one.

I took AP Bio last year and used Cliff’s and Holtzclaw’s review book together. Since we used the Campbell textbook in class, the Holtzclaw book was perfect for reviewing/studying and skimming the material before tests. The Cliff’s book I would sometimes reference for a bit more detail than the Holtzclaw book because it was often much easier to understand.

For the AP exam, I read Cliff’s front-to-back on the weekend before the exam and got a 5.

Trying to use all of them is unnecessary and can possibly be detrimental to your performance because you’re overloading yourself with so much differing information.
