I just watched this show. What the hell is it about?

I watched it too.

I don't know what the hell it's about either.

It scares the hell outta me.

It's so stupid.

I love that show, its about nothing, like seinfeld

^true, tobias is the funniest

I heard it might get cancelled. =(

It's really funny!!! It's about a crazy family with lots of money and emotional problems.

It's only about nothing if you haven't been following it :-[

Most ppl really don't understand the subtle humor, and many jokes are elaborated throughout entire seasons.

It's by far my favorite T.V. show :) If you don't understand it I recommend getting the 1st season on DVD (they have it at blockbuster?)

This show is amazing. The only problem is that people can't just pick it up in the middle of the season. Many of the jokes require prior knowledge.

Some bad news for AD fans though. Fox has cut the episode order for this season from 22 to 18 due to the premier of American Dad in May.

does that mean it's over?

Nope, Arrested Development isn't cancelled. Gail Berman, the Pres. of NBC, made a statement that the season is just ending earlier. The network greatly supports the show and isn't planning to cancel it (as of yet), but urges people to watch it and spread the word to help their ratings. There's a whole article about it on zap2it.

And by the way, I strongly suggest watching a few more episodes - once you catch on to their humor, which is more subtle, intelligent, and funny than in most sitcoms, and learn who the characters are, it's a really great show.

but its on FOX... why would NBC issue a statement?

I LOVE this show. Best show on TV I've been following it since the first episode. A lot of its humour is more subtle, or carried through the episode, which may make it harder to catch for some people.

I'm in love with all shows involving crazy people. My favorite of all time would be absolutely fabulous. It kinda started to stink after the 3rd season though...

"but its on FOX... why would NBC issue a statement?"

Gail Berman is with FOX, maca11 just mispoke. I'm thinking this cut in episode order could be the only way to actually save the show (or to say, I'm hoping). AD is a very expensive show to produce and perhaps FOX is just trying to cut its production costs in order to keep it for more seasons to come.

You're right, I meant to say FOX. At least I got the name right though! I really hope they meant it and won't cancel it...

How is AD a very expensive show? The camera is crazy horrible.
