Art at Wellesley vs. Elsewhere

(sorry for the title I accidentally pressed enter)
I'm currently a senior who is debating between Wellesley, Berkeley, and RISD (yeah art school) and the SIR deadline is coming up really fast (I've been so torn for the past month). I would really love any information about the art program at Wellesley!

I think the art school part should give a lot away, but basically I am really into art yet I would really like to be a very well-rounded individual. When I think about it, I can see myself being happy at all three schools. I also received a lot of aid from each school so price no longer matters either. However, my mom and grandparents (Asian) are quite against me going to art school (dad doesn't care), so I'm starting to think maybe I should just appease them, and perhaps do a double major at a conventional school. However, I'd definitely like to go to the non-art school with the best art program available.

So, that being said, have you taken any art classes at Wellesley? How was your experience? Do you know anybody who has perhaps majored in art at Wellesley? And, is there any studio space students can use just...whenever? I'd really love to be able to go somewhere whenever I want to just paint or something.

Also, how is the acceptance of "art" people by peers at Wellesley? I attended a local accepted Wellesley students and alumni gathering and talked to some of the girls. When I said I was choosing between Wellesley and art school they kind of went like..."Oh...." However, the alumni seemed a lot more friendly and upbeat about it. Has the climate changed or was it just those I talked to? ._.

I don’t know anything about Wellesley, but I’m sure it’s a fine choice. It has a lovely AT&T museum. However I think your family is wrong. I thing RISD will make you immediately employable, whereas the liberal arts education might not. If you want a well rounded liberal arts education yourself, I don’t think you can go wrong with Wellesley.
