My Neice is planning on going to school for media arts & animation. She has been contacted by The Art Institute of Atlanta-Decatur. I was wondering if anyone had any information on this college?

You could have her check through the threads in the Visual Art and Film Majors Forum in the College Majors Forum. She can find it by going to the main page where all of the forums are listed, and then scrolling down. Here is a quick link for you: [Visual Arts and Film Majors - College Confidential](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/visual-arts-film-majors/)

She should be VERY wary of “The Art Institutes”, they are professional “for profit” schools(not colleges) , expensive and they do not have the best reputation. Proceed with caution. These schools spend 60% of their budget on marketing and the balance on “education”. That should tell you something.

The largest shareholder of the parent company of the Art Institute is Goldman Sachs. That should tell you where their priorities are.

I don’t know if they are any good, but they have some pretty snazzy TV ads.
