<p>Just wondering if there are any good art or photography competitions for high school kids. My parents seem to be a bit resentful about my passion for art/photos, they think it's not going to be worth anything in college applications, blah blah. Well, I know that's not true. So, any good competitions?</p>

<p>Other than local competitions the only one I know of is the PTSA Reflections contest.</p>
<p>I know of the Reflections one, and the one that Scholastic has yearly. I don't think there's a whole lot of nationally recognized art competitions, unfortunately.</p>

<p>Do they have the Scholastic Art and Writing contests in your area? It should be nationwide.
