I am into the arts, but I wish to pursue my number one interest of science, but like I said I am huge into art and have even been published. Would it be worth it to send a art portfolio to admissions or would it hurt me?
Thank you :)

I’m wondering the same thing. I’m taking a class where I will make a portfolio this year but I don’t know what I’m supposed to do about it in terms of college because I too will be majoring in a science

that neat Volleyball hopefully someone can tell us

er111a, I think if you’re at the level where your work has already been published, you should send in an art supplement. With that said, I’ve read and heard mixed responses from different colleges regarding art supplements. Since you’re also into science, perhaps you should direct your question to MITChris, who’s an admission officer and can give you a legitimate answer to the question:

It’s something you need to ask the specific colleges. Any art or music supplements (sometimes other sorts) are usually reviewed by the applicable dept- and the adcoms may or may not want to send your portfolio to the Art folks if you’re planning a science major. Ask admissions.

Alright thanks
