is it possible to do undergrad in an art school and then grad in a high university or even an ivy league or do you have a better chance getting accepted to grad ivy league school if you graduated from a university and not an art school? or is it the same?

It depends. Are you looking to study Art in graduate school. If that is the case, then I don’t think it matters whether you go to an Art School or to a regular university for college.

On the other hand, if you intend on stuying Medicine or Law or getting an MBA, I think going to a regular university would be more reasonable.

This said, what are your grades and scores like? You have several good universities that have strong Art programs but where you can double major in a traditional field such as Biochem, Economics or Political Science.

well i currently study industrial design in syracuse uni, and i really wanna do graduate in product design in stanford hopefully but i really dont like syracuse so im thinking of transferring to pratt, and i just want to know which would be the better choice for grad school? im really confused, and my grades and really good. thank you so much, please let me know what you think.

i meant better choice for undergrad** which one would give me a better chance?

Would you also be studying Industrial Design at Pratt? If so, transfering should not be a problem since Pratt is a well regarded school for design.

you should look at Brown’s-RISD program which lets you study at both universitys and receive a degree in 5 years from both.
