Art Schools?

I've been accepted to SVA, Pratt, and SMFA Boston.

Here's my thoughts:
SVA-I've heard good things about the school and the facutly, but it seems to be a little TOO artsy for me. The upside is that it's cheaper.
Pratt-It has a campus. It has a good reputation. BUT it seems a bit...intimidating. I'm worried I'm not good enough? I did receive money, so that helps with the cost.
SMFA-the program seems pretty good in a different way, but I can't really find a true opinion on the school. associated with Tufts, so that's cool...

Could anyone tell me anymore information about these three schools?
And also, clue me in on what being an art major is like (critiques seem awfully scary...)?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, as I do have to make a decision soon :)

I've also got accepted to SVA and SMFA, and I'm on the wait-list for Pratt.....

I'm deciding between SVA and SMFA, but seems to be leaning more towards SVA..

one of the main reasons is because it's at NYC, and I think NYC may have more opportunities? (well, I've never been to Boston..)

I also think SMFA is cool, cause it's associated with Tufts... but I heard it's 45 minutes away from SMFA..

I'm having the same questions you're having right now...

I really think Pratt would be the best fit... My sister is a fashion designer (i do not know if that's what you want to do) and she said Pratt will definitely get you some of the best job placement available out of art schools.

SVA is a very good art school, with a hands-on approach. You will be painting/filming/photographing/sculpting from the get go there.

I want to go into illustration. I'm not sure how the programs compare though.

Pratt just seems so INTIMIDATING. I think it's mostly the art critiques and, you know, flunking out that scares me.
