<p>I'd like to submit an art portfolio for evaluation, but have encountered a slight problem: a mandatory component of the submission is an additional recommendation letter by a "private teacher or mentor in the discipline." Um...my art is pretty much self-taught...I don't have any sort of instructor who could write this letter. Is anyone else in the same situation? Any ideas?</p>
<p>I'm not in this position, but I'd say call them and ask. They don't bite!</p>
